·         Eat fruits and vegetables. This will help keep your body well supplied with vitamins and nutrients. It will help boost your immune system. You will not enjoy these things if you stick to fast food meals.

·         Stress can bring your body down. Therefore, as much as possible you must learn to relax. You do not have to spend a whole day relaxing, but 20 minutes of stress free moments in a day is already adequate.

·         Prevent gum disease by flossing every day. Gum diseases often cause inflammation that can have detrimental effects to your heart. Flossing does not take forever. Therefore, make this a daily habit.

·         Live an active lifestyle. Stop spending too much time watching television or surfing the internet. Go outside and enjoy the world around you. Regular exercise does not just help keep the weight off but it also helps speed up your metabolism.

·         Adequate sleep is important. When you sleep, your body regenerates. The damaged cells are repaired. Therefore, when you sleep adequately you are giving your body enough time to regenerate.

How Luxuries Are Affecting Our Health

Today we are living in a society where technology has taken over everything, over the past few years there is huge number of advancements which have accrued in our life. Now we see more cars on the road than ever before, people prefer to buy stuff by click on the computer rather than going out and look for stuff themselves, kids like to play games on play stations, PSP’s, PC’s and Xboxes rather than going out in the park and play some physical games. People prefer eating out instead of cooking healthy food at home and a lot of other changes. If we sit down and think about all these advancements seriously, we’ll be shocked to understand that we have moved toward an unhealthy life where there is less physical involvement of ours. We think that these facilities are luxury for us but in actual we are slowly poisoned by the drug called laziness which is really dangerous for us and our kids.

This is not called comfort, this is actually our less physical involvement in our daily routine work and it has been proven when you do less physical movement; your body starts getting weak and day by day it keeps getting worse. By sitting on couch all day, eating junk food and watching TV or playing games on play station and using computer all day effects your health in so many different ways. By eating junk food and sitting in couch all day and not moving a lot seriously damages your heart and increase cholesterol in your body rapidly. That means more chances of heart attack and so many other heart related problems. Sitting on computer all day seriously affect your eyes and then your brain. Whenever your body is getting on so much ease that means it will have less resistance against any disease which tries to attack your body.

For a healthy body, it is very important that we get out of comfort zone and do some physical exercise to get a better health. Life is not just about sitting down and get lost in all these gadgets and luxuries. It is too short so it better to live it healthy and large. It is good to keep the evening walk habit in your daily routine, it helps in the circulation of blood in your body and it reaches to every corner of your body and you feel alive. It helps burning a lot of calories which you gain everyday by eating a lot of fast food and junk eatables. The best past about it is that you get to have some fresh air which is really good for your lungs and heart. When you walk, you sweat and that is process which takes all waste matter out of your body in shape of water. This is a very healthy practice and we should do it every day.
